I can't believe my sweet boy has turned one! He is so cute and all grown up it seems.
I did that annoying thing where I said 12 months instead of 1 year, but I guess where these have been his "month" updates that you'll have to forgive me for it. :)
He has become increasingly difficult to photograph, he is such a mover!
Henry is able to feed himself more and more finger foods. We are trying to incorporate more of our typical meals into his meals, and he is doing great! It's really nice that he can feed himself for the most part, although we have awhile to go until we master using a spoon. I had hoped to nurse him past his year mark but the little stinker started biting me and also seemed to be uninterested in nursing (20 second sessions and it was starting to take forever to get him to do even that.) He had a "birthday breakfast" and then we said goodbye to nursing. We had a great run though and I'm so grateful we had the nursing experience that we did!
He is still an amazing sleeper and has switched to only one nap a day that lasts for about 3 hours. I sure hope my future kiddos sleep as well as Mr Henry.
Henry LOVES to walk and move and explore. He is rarely sitting still. He loves books, playing football with dad, and anything that is a ball or related to a ball. Brushing his teeth is the best way to distract him, and he is very much a daddy's boy. I can't get him to focus on me or eating or anything if he knows his dad is around, and I absolutely love that. :) He loves to play "where's henry?" and will use anything to hide his little face and pull it down so that we say "there he is!" It's so adorable! He also claps (while saying yay repeatedly) does high fives, can wave and say "hi" and is getting closer to running.
He now has 6 teeth and has the cutest little grin.
We are seeing more and more of his personality and I can't wait to see how much he's grown next year!
