We had a blast at Lake Powell last week!
I was a little nervous having 6 week old Rose with us but she handled it so well! In fact she slept better than Mr Henry, who surprised us by suddenly being able to climb out of his pack n play :/ the little smartie pants!
We started our trip off early early Monday morning- I'm talking waking up at 3 am and leaving the house just after 4! We were anxious to get a good start on the day! I slept on the way over and we thought Henry would too, but he excitedly chit chattered almost the whole way over. He could tell something wonderful was about to happen I guess. :)
We got there around 9:15am and were picked up by our group at about 10:15 to take us to the Houseboat that Josiah and Sharla have a time share in. They are so nice to have invited us out.
Throughout the trip we did a lot of swimming, game playing, eating delicious food, Spike ball, horse shoes (well, the men did :) ) and just hanging out. We even managed to fit in a ladies only wake boarding trip one night, which was a blast! Even though Henry didn't sleep well he was overall happy and ready to party (despite the typical toddler tantrums of course) :) We got nervous Rosie was a little overheated the last night so we did our best to cool her down and thankfully it all worked out!
Wednesday we packed up and while the men finished cleaning the houseboat, us ladies kept the kids preoccupied at a close gas station with ice cream and snacks. Then we stopped at Stans for some late lunch! It was a quick trip but we loved every minute!
