California and Disneyland Trip 2018

We loved our time in California this past June!

We had fun days at the beach, went to DISNEYLAND, went on a boat tour and saw some dolphins and then later some tide pools and then had a pool day too! It was crazy with all three kids but it was a really fun trip and it was fun to see our family there as well.

Things I want to remember:

-We woke up at 4am to drive all day Monday and get there by dinner time. We thought for sure our kids would sleep but NOPE. ha ha Eli slept fairly well but Rose and Hank did not, and Rose was cranky as heck ha ha she finally fell asleep around 4pm for about 30 minutes. So we learned for sure that waking up early to drive all day is not for us. ha ha

-I loved seeing how much Henry loved Disneyland. Rose had fun too for sure but Henry really got it. It was so sweet seeing that joy. Although, Disneyland in the summer time kinda is not the best! It’s so dang hot and there are so many people. I think fall or springtime would be much better!

-The dolphin tour was SO FUN. So easy with kids, so fun and so rewarding. On top of seeing around 40-50 dolphins that swam all around us for a good half hour, we saw the tales of 3 blue whales and some cute sea lions. It was awesome.

Henry's Fourth Birthday

Can’t believe my Henry boy is 4!

Henry is so much fun! He is super smart, very friendly and very confident around people. He has been so excited for his birthday all year long and was all smiles all day.

I made him a spiderman cake and a captain america cake and they didn’t quite turn out as well as I’d hoped dang it! They looked okay from the top but pretty meh every where else but honestly, it’s okay, you win some you lose some ha ha

Henry’s gifts were some new clothes and boots, a spiderman necklace (“so I can turn into Spiderman mom!”, some new additions to his train set, a baseball mitt and some baseballs, a robe, a new helment, a cute little puzzle set and a new big boy Avengers bike. He was so excited, especially for his bike, and was a happy boy.

We woke him up singing happy birthday and throwing balloons in his room and he got to eat his favorite breakfast of Fruit Loop cereal! We then played at a McDonalds Play place later in the morning with some of his cousins, got some lunch and then he went to preschool. After daddy got home we had dinner, opened gifts, had cake, Henry rode his new bike for a bit and then we watched a spiderman cartoon together. He is already counting down the days to his next birthday ha ha. Love this big boy!
